Infographic



Uses in the Classroom: 

This infographic is used primarily for the visual aide of rendering specific information to kindergarten students in regards to a healthy eating lifestyle.  This particular assignment and infographic will allow the kindergarten students to organize, compare and recognize what a healthy food is.  It will also help them to distinguish and categorize foods into their specific food group.



Issues to Consider:

The issue to consider with this specific assignment is that the kindergarten students, being as young and not completely able to read, will struggle in identifying parts of the inforgraphic without a picture illustration.  In order to make sure that this informational graphic has the greatest inpact on students I would use various real life example and have the students complete a culminating activity that involved the sorting, categorizing and interpretating their thoughts.

"Life of a Simple Gal"


Uses in the Classroom: 
 This particular storybook assignment can be used in a kindergarten or first grade classroom to help the students introduce themselves to other students. The kindergarten standards require the students to speak of themselves in a manner that illustrates who they are successfully.  This assignment would successfully cover that standard. 

Issues to Consider:
This particular assignment would be hard for students to do on their own.  The uploading of pictures would have to be done as a class project where the students bring in pictures and we would then create a class project out of the information provided.  The students could then each put their own narration to their own picture when it came time to do so.

Assigment: Talking Photograph

Uses in the Classroom: Using a picture from their favorite children's book, the students will create a retelling of their favorite scene from the story.  They will use fotobabble to record and listen to the fluency and accuracy of the retelling.

Issues to Consider:  Students are extremely young therefore needing lots of one-on-one attention.  They will also need to be able to read the correct portion of the story in order to retell it.
